How to remove the watermark from Gemini and Veo videos (and keep the audio)

Remove the corner watermark from Gemini and Veo videos frame by frame in your browser. The original audio is copied across and nothing is uploaded.

A frame from a real Gemini video with the watermark, and the same corner of frame 120 before and after removal

Videos made with Gemini and Veo carry a visible watermark in the corner, just like images. The video watermark remover takes it out of every frame on your own device and gives you back an MP4 with the original sound.

What you need

  • The original video file you downloaded (MP4, WebM or MOV, up to 500 MB).

  • Chrome or Edge on a computer. The tool uses WebCodecs, a browser feature for decoding and encoding video that many phones and some browsers don't fully support yet.

Step by step

  1. Open the video watermark remover and choose your video.

  2. The tool samples frames to find the watermark and confirm its position. If it can't confirm a Gemini or Veo mark, it says so and lets you decide whether to process the video anyway.

  3. Every frame is decoded, cleaned and re-encoded as H.264. A small AI model smooths the edges of the cleaned area, which matters because each video frame is compressed.

  4. The audio track is copied into the new file without re-encoding.

  5. Download the MP4. Keep the tab open while it works.

How long does it take?

Expect it to take about as long as the video plays, sometimes a little longer. In our test, a 10-second 720 × 1280 Gemini clip (240 frames) finished in 13 seconds in Chrome, with the audio kept. Longer or larger videos take proportionally longer, and slower computers take longer too.

Why not upload it to a website?

Video files are large and often personal. Because this tool runs in your browser, the file never leaves your computer, there's no upload to wait for, and there's no queue.

Limits

  • It's designed for original Gemini and Veo downloads. Videos that were cropped, resized or screen-recorded may not match.

  • The cleaned area is re-encoded along with the rest of the frame, so it goes through normal video compression.

  • The invisible SynthID watermark stays in the video. What that means.

Frequently asked questions

Does it keep the audio?
Yes. The original audio track is copied into the new MP4 without re-encoding.
Why does it need Chrome or Edge?
It decodes and encodes video with WebCodecs, including H.264 encoding, which Chrome and Edge on computers support best.
Can I remove a video watermark on my phone?
Not reliably yet. Many mobile browsers don’t fully support the video encoding the tool needs, so use a computer.
