Gemini Watermark Remover AI

How Gemini watermark removal works

Gemini adds a small, semi-transparent sparkle logo to the bottom-right corner of images it generates. Because the logo is always the same shape and is blended onto the image in a predictable way, it can be removed precisely.

1. Finding the watermark

Gemini places the logo at a known size and distance from the corner, depending on the image size: a 48 × 48 pixel logo on smaller images and a 96 × 96 pixel logo on larger ones. The engine checks these known positions and confirms the logo is really there before changing anything.

2. Reverse alpha blending

A watermark is "alpha blended": each pixel under the logo becomes a mix of the original colour and white, according to the logo's transparency. Since we know that transparency for every pixel, we can reverse the mix and calculate the original colour:

original = (watermarked − alpha × logo) ÷ (1 − alpha)

This restores the real pixels instead of painting over them, so textures and details under the logo come back as they were.

3. Quality checks

After removal, the engine measures what is left in that area. If a faint trace could remain on a difficult background, we still give you the best result and tell you about it.

Private by design: all of this runs in your browser. Your image is never uploaded.

What it doesn't do

  • It doesn't remove Google's invisible SynthID watermark.

  • It works on original Gemini images. Screenshots, crops or resized copies may not match the known logo position.

  • It isn't a general tool for removing other people's watermarks or logos.
